Our Company started in 1984, because of our MD’s awareness of the high percentage damage caused to Company property by reckless forklift operators.

  • The initial TETA forklift course requirements were based on our course recommendations.
  • Our courses are considered as the best in the country by the Dept. of Labour.
  • We started Provincial & National forklift competitions through the Institute of Materials Handling and our trainees won and competed internationally year after year.
  • Our assessors/trainers have 45 years combined experience.
  • A sense of pride and responsibility is the outcome of our well designed and presented training courses.
  • We provide excellence in Aftercare training, Advanced courses and Refresher courses.

“If you train your operators and then subject them to poor supervision and machinery you are wasting your money.”

35 years ago Des Fell started and ran the Institute and CLITSA Forklift Operator Competitions to give operators a sense of importance and pride in their work.

He changed career paths from Head Master to Manager of a Racking Company in Zambia in 1970. He became concerned with operators damaging the racks with their forklifts and damaging their forklifts and product.

He would borrow a 16mm projector and a training film from the forklift companies. He would find a dark corner or a training room and show them the correct way to handle and work with their Forklifts in their working environment, and he emphasized the importance of safety when working with such large machinery.

He continued to encourage safe operating standards when he came to South Africa. Through the Institute of Materials Handling. He started the first Forklift competition in Cape Town, which soon became a National Event. He took one of our Competition Operators who had won the SA National Champion for several years in a row to Sweden and Wales to compete in Competitions in both countries. The Operator did very well in the competitions with his overseas counterparts. Part of our service to clients is organizing Forklift Competitions which helps awareness of high operating standards.

Testimonial regarding Accredited Training.

I have been using Accredited Training’s services since 2010 when still employed at my previous company.

Since then, Accredited Training has always been my first choice when it comes to my training needs with regards to any type of forklift code. When I moved to another company in 2014, there was no doubt in my mind of who I was going to use in training up a 170 staff compliment with regards to my forklift training needs.

Particular things that I like about them is their personal touch, with Des Fell personally delivering the certificates and giving you a warm handshake, always having time to stop by for a quick chat and business needs. Hendrina du Preez, who is my main contact at Accredited Training is always helpful, friendly and quick to respond to my needs with excellent organisational skills. She has helped me out of many tight spots when I needed urgent training to be done at a moment’s notice.

I find working with them to be an absolute pleasure as it takes away many of my training worries with absolute peace of mind in dealing with them.

I would recommend Accredited Training to any business in need of a skills provider who has what it takes and can attend to your every need at a drop of a hat. Accredited Training makes you feel like family when dealing with them.
Make the right choice!
